How do I create an account?

Creating an account is easy:

  1. Download Sniffr ATX from the App Store
  2. Open the app and tap "Sign Up"
  3. Enter your name, email address, and create a password
  4. Add a profile photo (optional)
  5. Create your first dog profile

That's it! You're ready to start connecting with other dog owners in Austin.

How do I scan QR codes to connect with other users?

Connecting with other dog owners is simple:

  1. At the dog park or any meetup, tap the "Scan QR" button in the app
  2. Allow camera access when prompted
  3. Point your camera at the other user's QR code
  4. Once scanned, you'll be instantly connected

To share your own QR code, tap your profile icon and select "Show QR Code."

How do I plan playdates with other dogs?

Planning playdates is built right into the app:

  1. Go to the Calendar tab
  2. Tap the "+" button to create a new event
  3. Choose "Playdate" as the event type
  4. Select the date, time, and location
  5. Invite connections by selecting their names
  6. Add any notes or details
  7. Tap "Create Event"

All invited users will receive a notification and the event will appear in their calendars.

How do I delete my account?

We're sorry to see you go. To delete your account:

  1. Open the app and go to your Profile
  2. Tap the Settings icon (gear icon in the top right)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Account Settings"
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm your decision

Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.

What permissions does the app need?

Sniffr ATX requests the following permissions:

  • Camera: To scan QR codes for connecting with other users
  • Photos: To upload profile pictures and dog photos
  • Calendar: To sync playdate and vet appointment reminders
  • Notifications: To send reminders about upcoming events

All permissions are optional, but some features may not work without them. You can manage permissions in your device settings.

Is my data private and secure?

Yes. We take your privacy seriously. We use industry-standard encryption and secure servers to protect your data. We never sell your personal information. For more details, please read our Privacy Policy.
